This is a rubber-like material made of neoprene. It has a soft warm grip, even in cold weather. It works very well as a knife handle that is easy to grip when wet. Simply sand to shape with 120 grit and hand finish with 320 grit. DO NOT POLISH; it does not look very good. Also, it seems to work best with Linen Micarta Rods available in black and natural colors. Handles are available in 3/8" thickness only. The piece measures 5" wide x 12" long.
